Apply for a Teacher Mini-Grant

The Oceana Foundation 2015-16 Teacher Mini-Grant application deadlines are:
Friday, February 6, 2015
October 2016, date TBD

The Youth Advisory Council of the Community Foundation for Oceana County invites teachers to apply for mini-grant funding to try out a new idea or buy the "extras" for an already great lesson plan or project.

Any public or private school teacher or counselor in Oceana County (or other service areas) is eligible to apply.

Grants are limited to one per classroom and one per teacher per school year. Please note that only one application is permitted per teacher.

Grants up to $250 will be awarded to teachers to enhance their instructional program including:

New projects or programs, program enhancement within the curriculum framework, expansion of an already existing unit, student awards, special events, professional development opportunities, artists in residence, parent involvement programs. Traditionally, grant funds are not awarded for for capital supplies that are not related to a project or program. Example: A new bulletin board for the classroom. In addition, YAC traditionally does not fund field trips or school store projects.

Applications are due by midnight on Friday, February 6, 2015. Funding notifications will be made within 6 weeks of the application deadline.

Teacher mini-grant applications are now submitted online via eGrant. This is a change from previous years. This transition allows us much more efficiency, accuracy and standardizes the applications. We welcome your feedback on the new process!
